Does it have 10? Mrs. Cristi’s kindergarteners are starting to learn about ten ones and how they make a ten!




Some fourth graders who reached their personal academic goals were able to decorate cookies to celebrate their success.





Mrs. Kristin’s 5th graders learned how to stay safe while conducting investigations with Deputy Marcus during their DARE instruction!



CPE 4-H President Leads by Example


In STEM second graders are learning how to be engineers by using index cards to build towers.





Have you ever seen a sound wave?!
Mrs. Jessica’s class explored what it looks like when sound waves travel through the air using a digital simulation.





Mrs. Lainey’s first grade class recently placed 1st in a Black History Month bulletin board contest. They will soon be treated to a class pizza party!

5th Graders enjoyed a presentation today featuring Ms. Katie Potier and Ms. Leah Dawsey from UL! These professors shared what it is like to be deaf and commonly asked questions in the deaf community. Their presentation will support students in their last ELA module entitled “Wonderstuck”!



Mrs. Olivia’s first grade class worked on a directed drawing for St. Patrick’s Day after completing a narrative writing assignment.




Mrs. Annie’s 5th graders celebrated their end of the unit novel study of “The Lion, the Witch, and The Wardrobe” with a movie viewing party where students created a digital project that compared the similarities and differences between the novel and the movie.

Mrs. Jessica’s class is exploring sound waves using slinkies.





Masks on buses are now optional. On Friday, 2-25-22 the CDC announced that mask wearing on school transportation systems is now optional. Upon our return to school, mask are now optional on Vermilion Parish School buses.

Reminder: Yearbook ads for 5th grade students are due by 1/26/22.

Spirit Friday: On Fridays CPE students maybe wear any past or present CPE spirit shirt or CPE club shirt with a uniform bottom for no charge. Students may wear sweat pants, joggers or appropriate length shorts for $1. All bottoms must be uniform length. Shorts must be worn on top of leggings, yoga pants, and athletic tights. Jeans may not have rips/holes. NVMS and NVHS shirts are not allowed.
