Mrs. Caroline’s 8th grade ELA class wrapped up the week with a fun and engaging Irony Easter Egg Hunt! Students searched for hidden eggs, each containing a different scenario, and worked together to decide if it was ironic and what type it was. It was a great way to review learning while adding a little holiday excitement and teamwork to the day!
Paraprofessional Appreciation Day is April 3 each year. Since we will not be at school on April 3, we wanted to take a moment to thank these amazing ladies for all that they do for our students and school! Your hard work does not go unnoticed. We appreciate you!

Mrs. Emily's science classes completed an evolution lab to reinforce the concepts of natural selection (variation, competition, adaptations, etc), the other mechanisms of evolution (gene flow, mutations, non-random mating, and genetic drift), and speciation. Students had a blast seeing what happened to their bears, represented by skittles, as the founder effect brought them to Bear Island.
This is the bracket for the Parish Tournament this weekend. RMS Gold finished the regular season 11-0 earning the #1 seed. While RMS Black finished 8-2 earning the #2 seed in the tournament. Come on out and support our Pirates!

Rene Rost Students stayed busy yesterday! Theatre Troupe, Talented Theatre, Talented Music, and Talented Art students all participated in the Vermilion Parish Student Arts Expo. 4-H Students participated in Achievement Day. Theatre Troupe had a tie dye group activity. It's always a great day to be a Pirate! We're proud of all of you!
